In the legal sphere, Lucy supervises the firm’s Wills, probate, estate administration and real estate settlements departments. Lucy serves clients directly in more complex matters in these areas.
Lucy’s high standards, ability to lead and inspire others and facility with computerised information systems have been instrumental in the firm bringing new and innovative legal services to the market.
In her 11 years with Birman & Ride she has developed her skills in various roles including lawyer, team leader, HR manager, business analyst, salesperson and marketing manager.
Working side-by-side with technology partner ContactsLaw, Lucy developed systems that enabled Flat Rate Settlements to dramatically reduce costs and improve service quality. Leveraging these benefits and its flat-rate pricing model, the firm brought revolutionary change to the conveyancing industry in Western Australia.
Lucy has led the development the firm’s on-the-spot services – advanced interactive instruction forms enabling the delivery of many consumer legal services and court applications in one client consultation.

In 2020, she was awarded The Law Society of Western Australia’s Lawyer of the Year Award for her contribution to the legal profession, helping law firm owners and operators reshape their firms to keep pace with the changing economy.
Since becoming a mum in 2016, Lucy has been passionate about supporting and encouraging working mothers to fulfil their career ambitions and has produced over 100 episodes of The Juggle Podcast, dedicated to supporting women to have a satisfying career and a fulfilling family life.
